Family. It’s a word that brings up many emotions. All of us have some connection to family, whether good, or bad. For most of us it’s a mixture of both. Our families shape the way we look at the world and how we function in it. They also impact the way we view marriage, children and even ourselves.
Today’s culture has a lot to say about family. Everywhere, society is challenging who it comprises, what it means, and how it is defined. With so many opinions out there, it can be hard to figure out what family is all about — and if it even matters anymore.
But what does the Bible say about family? What does it mean to be made in the image of God? Can looking at family from God’s perspective really change society?
These questions are at the foundation of why Focus on the Family sent Tim Sisarich on a journey around the world. He talks to family experts, sociologists, researchers and everyday people to find the answers From these interviews, Focus on the Family created “Irreplaceable,” a one-night theatrical event on May 6th, and “The Family Project,” a 12-session small group experience that helps people dig deep into why family matters, pointing to the ultimate Father and Creator of the family.
We hope you’ll join us on this important journey and check out the upcoming videos, stories, and broadcasts highlighting “Irreplaceable” and “The Family Project”.
